The Career and Placement Centre (CPC) of North South University (NSU) successfully concluded the 10th National Career Fair (NCF) 2026 with a formal closing ceremony held at NSU Plaza recently. The three-day flagship event brought together leading employers, industry professionals, students, and graduates, reinforcing NSU's commitment to strengthening industry-academia collaboration and enhancing graduate employability.

Prof Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, vice-chancellor of North South University, delivered a keynote address emphasising the importance of industry-aligned education and experiential learning in preparing students for the evolving global job market. His remarks underscored NSU's continued dedication to producing graduates equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills demanded by contemporary employers.

Professor Naser U Ahmed, pro vice-chancellor, Abdur Rob Khan, treasurer, and Rehana Rahman, member of the Board of Trustees, North South University also attended the ceremony.

MA Kashem, member of the Board of Trustees and chief guest of the ceremony, addressed the audience, highlighting the significance of robust academia-industry partnerships in shaping future-ready graduates capable of contributing meaningfully to Bangladesh's economic development. The special guest, Taskeen Ahmed, president of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI), shared valuable insights on workforce development trends and emerging employment opportunities across various sectors in Bangladesh.

The National Career Fair 2026 hosted over 100 reputed local and multinational organisations, offering on-the-spot recruitment opportunities, professional networking platforms, career counselling sessions, and comprehensive industry insights. The event has consistently demonstrated its value in connecting talented graduates with employers seeking skilled professionals, whilst providing students with crucial exposure to corporate culture and recruitment processes.

Dr Farzana Nahid, director of the Career & Placement Centre (CPC) and associate professor of North South University, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing sincere appreciation to the university leadership, participating organisations, distinguished speakers, dedicated volunteers, and all stakeholders for their invaluable support in making the National Career Fair 2026 a success.

Over the years, the fair has emerged as one of Bangladesh's most prominent career platforms, effectively bridging the gap between academia and industry whilst empowering students and job seekers to take confident steps towards their professional futures. The continued growth and success of NCF reflects NSU's unwavering commitment to excellence in education and graduate outcomes.
