Illegal arms, drugs seized in city: Five held

A large cache of illegal arms, ammunition, narcotics and cash has been recovered in joint operations conducted by the army in the capital's North Badda and Dhalpur areas.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) disclosed the information in a press release issued on Friday, saying that five people were held during the operations.

According to the ISPR, an operation in the North Badda area led to the recovery of one rifle, seven pistols and three revolvers, along with a large quantity of ammunition and various equipment. One person was held in the raid.

In a separate operation in the Dhalpur area of Jatrabari, the army seized two foreign-made pistols, one revolver, three rounds of ammunition, a large quantity of narcotics and cash. Four people were held in this operation.

The recovered arms, narcotics and other seized items are being prepared for handover to the respective police stations for further legal proceedings.
